Professional production company Jam Theatre Co. has been using Stage 3
staging for over two years for their work within education as well as
for professional productions.
We asked them a few questions about their choice of staging system.
Q. What made you choose Stage 3 over other stage systems?
A. The Stage 3 system is totally flexible. We needed staging which would
be light enough for our students to erect on their own. It also had to
be totally versatile for any major productions we have. Many of our productions
have platforms as high as 2.4m and, compared with other heavier systems
that are available, students and staff can be creative and totally transform
the performance area within minutes, not hours.
Q. What strengths does Stage 3 staging have?
A. The speed with which it can be erected. Plus its compact storage,
and its
incredible strength, which you need when you use the kind of equipment
we do.
Q. What are the key benefits of using Stage 3?
A. The students are the ones who get the most out of it. Every lesson the
kids have the chance to go and create their own stage design, with its
ease of use the permutations are limitless. Also because there aren't any
sharp edges or knobs, it makes leaving the pupils to construct their own
staging very safe.
Jam has used many different stage systems over the last 15 years, but for both our educational work and professional production we will now continue to use Stage 3 staging even for up and coming tours. It simply saves us time and money, which is important to schools and professional production companies alike.
